The subject makes this sound SO serious, right?
Well, don't sweat it. I'm not one for writing rules. I think, for the most part, that kind of thing is a waste of time.
So... if you are new to the fed, unless you've been invited here by an established member (somebody that has been here for several months to a year and seems likely to remain here for a while longer), I just need a few things (in no particular order).
1: Character basics. Height, weight, gender, all that good stuff. Be as detailed as possible (so that our card writers will have some decent, easy-to-find reference material). Also include favorite and signature moves as well as preferred theme music.
2: Information about you. Name, e-mail address, previous experience (if any). If you don't feel comfortable revealing any of that stuff for everybody to see... just PM me. It's cool.
3: When you first join up, you will probably be expected to use only one or two characters. However, once you become established (or semi-established as the case may be) there is no character limit in this e-fed. With that in mind, I generally ask LOC members to register only one name and handle all of their characters through that one name rather than having them register a new name for every character. It makes it easier to keep track of what is going on, and it ensures that you get all due credit for your stories.
4: I do need to see a sample of your writing. However, you don't necessarily have to write a sample post. If you have previous writing experience of any kind (from a regular column to short stories of any kind to regular, wordy posts on any kind of forum) on any website you are perfectly welcome to either copy/paste some of your previous work onto this forum or provide us with a link to some of your previous work. Please don't expect us to sign up on another forum or website just to see it, though. We're much too lazy to go THAT far out of our way!
So... that's it. Post your information here and either I or another established member will get back to you ASAP.
Welcome to the LOC.
